The Airfield

Morris Motors was the adminstrative centre of the Civilian RepairOrganisation (CRO) st up by the government at the start of the war with Lord Nuffield in charge to get damaged aircraft back into service or to recover valuable resources. The area south of Garsington Road became an airfield for such aircraft.
